The Bugatti Veyron costs - $1,900,000 (US) and is the most expensive street car in the world today. Classed as a Grand Touring Car the Bugatti Veyron is surprsingly enough designed by Volkswagen, the same people that designed the Beetle that you see in our little logo ;). The design is manufactured by Bugatti Automobiles in France and features a 7 Speed Transmission as well as an 8 litre engine.

The engine is a W16 - think of it as two V8 engines combined to form a W (V+V = W) - with 16 cylinders and 64 valves. The engine comes in two variants:

• Standard which produces 736 kilowatts (kW) and 987 brake horsepower (bhp)
• Super Sport which produces 883 kilowatts (kW) and 1184 brake horsepower (bhp)

This Bugatti Veyron has a top speed of over 400 km per hour and various people have tested it, with Bugatti's official test driver reaching the highest average of 431 km per hour (which is about 268 miles per hour).
