5 - Pearl Valley

Situated between the Cape Winelands town of Paarl and the Haweqwa Nature Reserve in the Western Cape, Pearl Valley Golf Estate & Spa is a wonderful place to spend some time playing a game of golf. The estate offers luxury accommodation as well as a stunning setting, restaurant, spa, tennis, gym and equestrian centre. The Winelands area itself is rich in culture, art and beauty with the towns of Stellenbosch, Franschoek and Paarl all nearby. 6 - Durban Country Club

Established in 1922 and just north of the Golden Mile beachfront, Durban Country Club is an amazing venue for a game of golf. Close to the newly constructed Moses Mabhida Stadium as well as the Absa Stadium the Durban Country Club offers facilities for the whole family. Golf Digest is not the only publication to rate the course highly as it has also featured in Golf Magazine USA's list of the Top 100 Golf Courses of the World. Along with great golfing you will find restaurants, a play area for kids, bird watching walks, a bridge club and a whole lot more at the Durban Country Club. 7 - Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club

Host to the biggest annual professional golf event in Africa, the Joburg Open, the Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club is well over a century old and a stunning venue for a game of golf. 8 - St Francis Links

Situated in St Francis Bay, a popular surfing destination on the East Coast of South Africa which was featured in the classic 1966 movie Endless Summer.
